Preflet among top winners of INNOspace Masters & ESA BA Challenge
Preflet among winners of the ESA BA Challenge at the INNOspace Masters, securing a €100,000 grant. The platform leverages satellite data to optimize building energy management and reduce carbon emissions.
The INNOspace Masters competition has wrapped up its latest edition, highlighting new ideas that connect space technology with everyday challenges on Earth. Organized by the German Space Agency at DLR, this annual competition helps companies turn space research into real-world business solutions. The journey took place across two major milestones: a live pitch event in Bonn, followed by the final award ceremony.
The Path to the Top
The competition tested participants through tough rounds of technical evaluations. Finalists gathered in June for the "Winner's Pitch" in Bonn to present their ideas directly to a panel of expert judges. The journey continued until Berlin in September, where the top winners were officially announced and celebrated.

Preflet Secures the ESA BA Challenge
Managed by the European Space Agency Business Applications (ESA BA), this specific category looks for commercial businesses that use space assets to solve real-world problems. Preflet won the challenge by showing how space technology can improve energy management on the ground. The company uses a smart AI platform that combines real-time data from building sensors with satellite imagery and weather forecasts. By combining surface temperature data with building information, Preflet estimates heatloss , automated steps to prioritise inefficent built environment. As part of its victory, Preflet secured a €100,000 grant through the challenge, awarded at an 80% funding rate, meaning the prize covers the majority of the project costs to accelerate the growth of the innovation.
